Will we entertain each other as much? Will we make each other laugh?<\/p>\n<p>We had a pact: if we bore each other in person, if we find ourselves staring at the walls waiting for the seconds to tick by because we just couldn&#8217;t find anything to say, we&#8217;d retreat back to our corners, call the experiment a wash, and go back to our distance-mediated lolz.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve never been as nervous in my entire life as I was when I was on the tram between the arrival gates and the Tampa terminal. What on earth was about to happen? So many moments of significance pass without notice, but I was deeply, viscerally aware that everything after January 20, 2012 would be vastly different from what came before.
